Hotel is ideally located. One to two minute walk to the caldera, restaurants and shops. Staff is amazing and very knowledgable of the island and acitivies. The owner/manager actually picked us up from the bus station and walked us to the hotel. Breakfast was generous. Pool was cleaned pretty much everyday. Hotel has a relaxed atmosphere that will surely clear your mind. Hotel also has a private terrace where guests can view the sunset away from the crowd. IMO – The terrace is a better place to view the sunset!

Ideal location, idyllic environment, very helpful and reliable staff, excellent service. Only 1-3 mins (!!) walking distance from everything (main street, shops, pick-up point, bus/taxi spot, sunset spot). Yet very calm and private, very well maintained in a beautiful spot with great views, a true Greek island experience both in terms of arrangement, as well as, hospitality. Do plan a couple of days extra for enjoying the hotel’s sunset terrace, your room, its pool, your balcony, it is really worth it. Trust its people for everything, from fine dining to arranging your transport. I stayed with a friend and we loved it. Equally suggested for couples and families. Great value for your money. It made our stay in Santorini a wonderful experience. And I had already been in Santorini 3 times before.

The owners of this wonderful “boutique style” hotel were warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped up to the reception desk. This was my first trip to Santorini, and I would definitely return to this hotel on subsequent visits. Oia is a beautiful city and Hotel Aethrio definitely added to a great trip. Thanks so much!!!

The Aethrio hotel is a nice peaceful location in the middle of busy Oia. The hotel is well kept, the staff is very helpful and the room we had was huge. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but overall it was a wonderful location for exploring the town and visiting the rest of the island.

Go on the volcanoe tour. It is a great day to see the crater of the volcano and to do a bit of hiking. Make sure you take water with you as even in June the top can be very hot. The hot springs are not very hot, but a lot of fun to swim in.

We enjoyed the view from our balcony. Watching the sunset was the best part of the stay. Hotel is pretty close to the bus/taxi stop.
